saving the forest one letter at the time

Filed under: me and what's on my mind - Administrator @ 12:44 pm

Just out of curiosity;
when did crazy become retarded become mentally retarded become mentally disabled become mentally challenged? That sounds to me as if language and political correctness conspire on a level where they automatically assume there’s a higher force demanding challenge of some sort on people. And if retarded is not a correct term to indicate a mentally challenged person, does that mean that the word retarded has been freed? That we can use it without being incorrect since it doesnt indicate anything or anyone anymore?

I would also like to have one of those "NO, NO" stickers, you know the kind you put on your mailbox to state you’re not interested in any form of newspaper r advertisement. Make mine " NO, NO, NO " tho, i don’t want any mail. Just walk up to me in the street and say: hey mister, you need to do your yearly car check up." or " hello, i’m taxman, you owe us 8000 euro". True, that would be awkward at first, but it sounds kind of cute. And then we would start to all like the same colors as well, and the same food and the same everything. Just imagine, some sort of emotional aesthetic communism. Not boring at all, as a matter of fact, never a dull moment.

And if we don’t do any mail at al ever again, lets just not write anything too. So that spacetravellers from the future will pinpoint today as the day human civilazation ended. Why wait till 2012? Or even better, they believe it was 2012, and then together with the miscalculation of the birth of jesus we get them all confused. But this will all only work if we’re in it together. So 7 billion readers of my blog; hop to it!

Ah well, I can only hope that on the night of december 11th, 2012, one person will walk up to me and say: "Hey man, before we all go to shit, there’s something you should know…."
